Hey friend!
There’s this common misconception around weddings that kind of gets under my skin: that the bride has to be undoubtedly stressed out, the couple is constantly fighting, and planning a wedding is essentially a nightmare.
I strongly disagree.
Sure, all of these things can and will be stressful. But they also can and should be fun. I hope that this template helps make sure that does happen for you.
This document was a labor of love during my 22-month long engagement. During my engagement, I also planned two large charity galas for A Moment of Magic, which was (and is!) a little stressful to say the least. All in all, I have had more than 5 years of experience in event planning. I’ve learned a lot from doing things right, doing things wrong, and from learning as I go. I’ve seen the highs and lows of event planning, especially during a pandemic, and my goal is to take the lessons of what to schedule, when, and how to be the most prepared as possible in a pre-packaged way to share them with you.
I used my experiences to build this template and the best thing about it is that it’s completely customizable for you. From the photos to the timeline to the pronouns you and your partner use, you can customize and edit everything to fit your needs. It’s a starting point where you can detail your own experience, to-do lists, and timeline. I want to give special thanks to Pinterest and Carats and Cake, which was where I pulled a lot of my photos from. I tried to credit photography where ever I could, but if I missed something, please send me an email at heythere@kyleelauren.com so I can give proper credit. I wanted to say thank you to all of my amazing newsletter subscribers that helped make creating my own products possible. I launched my blog originally in 2011 and was scared to take the leap back into the blogosphere again in October 2021. My newsletter has been one of my favorite things to create because of the community it has provided. Because of this, you can get my template for free by subscribing to the site or you can find it on Etsy. I also look forward to making new products to add to the store soon!
I also post about my wedding, tips and tricks, and inspiration on my blog, tiktok, and Instagram. I hope to find in you a new internet BFF. I would love to see if this template or my tips and tricks are helpful to you, so please don’t hesitate to tag me in your photos of planning, prepping, and your big day!
However, my biggest tip is this: don’t forget to celebrate along the way — especially when it feels like you’re juggling a lot at once. Make it fun. Make it special. Make it light-hearted. Make it about love. Isn’t that the point at the end of the day, anyway?
Thank you again for your support and most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS!
I can’t wait to see what you create!
Infinite x’s and o’s,
kylee.
